I've been using X-KeyPad for quite a while and been after Mark to do a P3D/MSFS Keypad. Well, he pointed me to FS KeyPad. I use FSUIPC for all my controls and have created macros for aircraft as well as button logic in the FSUIPC ini file.
I would like to request that we be able to manipulate LVARS with FS KeyPad. Most third party aircraft use LVARs for their internal functions. For example the A2A Connie uses them for it's autopilot and other systems and does not use the standard functions. We would need to do what FSUIPC does which is set or unset the LVARS or change their value over a range.
Currently I do some of this with FSUIPC macros and some with lua scripts so it would be nice to be able to trigger Lua scripts as we do with FSUIPC.

What little I know about LVARS is MSFS uses MSFS, SimConnect, LVARS and HVARS to manipulate panel controls. I'm looking into SPAD.NEXT but even that program requires way more knowledge and understanding of how all these elements interact with the sim. My point is, the Events and or Data reported (used) by MSFS do not reflect to their counterpart in the "CONTROLS" mapping area of MSFS - why this cannot all be simplified escapes me but suffice it to say, I have a ton of hardware I would like to map to various aircraft in the sim and in its current state I have all but given up as I would spend all my time with trial and error and never actually fly. It's so disappointing this process requires a level of understanding I do not possess. the Working Title group has done a great job improving the default aircraft, the challenge now is how to translate this functionality to hardware and or apps like FS-Keypad.

Yes, MSFS added HVARS to the mix. LVARS and HVARS can be read. FSUIPC lists them and although it's been a while since I've been in the P3D or FSX SDK I believe you can get them from there and manipulate them. That's what addons like Air Manager and others do - they have an interface (dll probably) to get the values or write them.
