Keystrokes
#1
I would like to be able to send keystrokes with FS Keypad. The main use case I've found has been with view managers.  I use Opus and have used Chaseplane and although you can use joystick buttons you soon run out of them as they are needed for other tasks so we have to assign keys and since I don't want to have to reach around the yoke for my keyboard it would be great if FS Keypad could do it.

Before I knew about FS Keypad I did a proof of concept with Air Manager and FSUIPC.  I used FSUIPC to create an LVAR and then had Airmanager write to this LVAR and the FSUIPC Lua script then FSUIPC wrote the keystroke to Opus.  It worked fine but I didn't have time to pursue it.

DakotaPilot,

Would it be of value to share your scripts here for others to try? I am not a coder and have no interest in learning this stuff. I abandoned my X-Keypad and associate XK-80 hardware for this reason. PnP should be the way to connect as there is a larger market for PnP apps vs. those where one must be savvy with script writing.
